Brian Flood Releases Arc2Earth V2

October 12th, 2007 · 5 Comments · ArcGIS Desktop, ESRI, Extensions

Brian is obviously capping off a busy week by releasing A2EV2 (I like saying that) today. I’ve still not been able to find time to update my copy, but a quick look at the updated features on his blog really gets me excited. All the new export formats are very welcomed and I’m really anxious to test out the importer tool. Better get my upgrade sorted out.

    James, I figure you’ve probably seen this…

Any experience with this kind of functionality? I’m currently using a workflow that’s pretty convoluted to get 3D (SketchUp) data into ArgGIS and this A2E functionality looks like a huge timesaver compared to that. I don’t do much with A2E but would be interested in going the other way (E2A).

Curious to hear any thoughts on this.

    Hi James,

Nice to see your blog and profile.

I just start working on Virutal Earth without any API. The functionalities like showing location by using place name, latitude & longitude and route turing location. May I Know what kind of data information did the VE is maintaining on the back hand server to execute these functionalities.

    Thank You,
