Vote for WeoGeo on the Amazon Start-Up Challenge

December 4th, 2007 · 3 Comments · GIS

Time for all us geospatial folks to get together and vote for one of our own. Take a look at the videos for all the Amazon Start-Up Challenge and vote for your favorite (which I assume for most of us will be WeoGeo). Vote early and vote often. It would be great to see a geospatial entry get some good press.

Thanks a bunch, James! We hoping WeoGeo makes a good (great!) showing for the geospatial community.

Ooyala sounds like the most generic BS on the internet. It is hard for good original ideas to compete with dreck like that.

I voted for Brainscape because its a truly unique and new application of webservices (AFAIK) for research, and what the GRID concept was really meant to be. Even though Weogeo would be my second choice.

But your right, Ooyala is way ahead, but it just sounds like another Web 2.0 BS, online video processing and delivery, there are hundreds of companies doing that I bet.
