Friday Humor
I’ve been going through my inbox (physical, not email) this morning and caught something that made me laugh. I grabbed the latest issue of ESRI’s Federal GIS Connections and looked at the address.
We don’t need no stinkin’ departments!

So do you have departments or not?
Looks like they have “Services”…

So what service are you James? “Information Management”?
We don’t have departments.
“We don’t have departments”
Now that is the funniest thing I’ve read today.
Now that is pretty funny.
One of the free magazines that gets sent to my office has my last name spelled out like it sounds. I guess at some point I must have signed up for something over the phone and because my last name is long and hard to hear over the phone, I spelled it out. I laugh every time it shows up in my cube.
That is very typical of ESRI’s automated web forms. They fill in values of forms that were left blank or that were incorrectly filled out. I suspect you tried to inform them of something and they took it literally.
When I filled out the full name of the institution that I work for, my name tag came out reading something like:
J.B. Churchill
“Not Enough Room on Form”.
