The ESRI Server Product Formally Known as ArcSDE PostgreSQL Update?

May 18th, 2007 · 2 Comments · ArcSDE, ESRI, PostgreSQL

geoLibro spots mention of ArcSDE 9.2 support for PostgreSQL 8.2.

Probably just a typo as ArcSDE support for PostgreSQL support is to be available at the ArcGIS 9.3 release.

Ok, so has anyone seen this in even a alpha or beta format? Or is this just something we will see in Manifold!!

Looks like they spotted the whoops just a couple days after that catch. Probably got a lot of excited phone calls… and a lot of broken hearts shortly thereafter.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed for the future and hope that 9.3 opens the door for open source RDBMS support…
