KML in ArcGIS Explorer Build 380

I figured I’d try Chad’s Mogadishu Refugee Migration KML in ArcGIS Explorer and see how it looks.

While it appears that KML rendering has improved, its still not able to handle transparency. Take a look at the same KML in Google Earth.

KML support in AGX still has quite a way to go.

KML support is very limited in AGX. It does not support nested folders/network links so nullifying a real-time layer web service used by my clients. On the other hand, GE handles it without a hickup.

@dustymugs: One would think GE would handle KML better than any other client, no?

That doesn’t mitigate the need for almost any GIS client to read in KML.

Now that is just crazy talk James! ;)
