ESRI Developer Summit 2007 Dinner

March 20th, 2007 · 10 Comments · ESRI

The dinner tonight was pretty good, Mexican food is always welcome. The weird part was the music. They had these two ladies singing lounge music seemed WAY out of place for a developer summit. Some of the folks that were eating at the table seemed to think these should have been for the Business Partners Conference, not developers. Even with free beer flowing, we had to move on. Very awkward if you ask me as I doubt many sitting there know who Engelbert Humperdinck is or even his songs.

Who is that in the picture? It looks like a friend of mine that is at the Summit…but he wouldn’t be drinking alone and seemingly enjoying the lyrical stylings of Engelbert Humperdinck.

I don’t recall offhand, but he was from Wisconsin. (and he wasn’t drinking alone)

If he was laughing it was at the music as we were all shocked the more this went on.

Thanks James. I confirmed that’s my friend Bill. He is a card shark and a deadly foosball player, so be ware:)

Wish I could have made it out this year. Love the site, keep up the fine work!

Ahhh, that brings back memories of Laura and me dining on guacamole made from our own harvest from our avocado ranch with the ‘dinck playing softly on a warm inland empire night with the romantic buzz of I-10 in the background. Good times.
