Rusty Planet reports that ESRI Tech Support is saying that Service Pack 1 for ArcGIS 9.2 will be delayed until after Christmas.
The Tech Support operator did say that ESRI plans on releasing the Service Pack next week (week of December 25th).
THERE IS NO SERVICE PACK HERE, NOW GO AWAY!

Is ESRI a train-wreck or what?!? Somebody over there needs to learn how to manage expectations.

Your expectations are dashed by a service pack slipping a week or so? I’d hate to see your angst for Santa come Monday.

Doug, I suppose that’s true since I’ve been waiting on SP1 so I can upgrade to 9.2. Why? We have policy-based control over applications and devices on our network. In other words, its highly favorable to install/authorize all applications in one ’sitting’ (especially since the ArcGIS installation is painfully slow).
However, my point is still valid…why even mention the week of Dec 18 if you can’t deliver the goods??

Doug, I agree with Not Huey and I wrote a post about it as well. You make it sound so glib to miss a deadline published on the web and not even updated now.
