Users Waiting for ArcGIS 9.2

December 15th, 2006 · 8 Comments · ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Engine, ArcGIS Server, ArcIMS, ArcSDE, ESRI, GIS

I’ve been getting a couple of readers panicked that they haven’t received ArcGIS 9.2 yet and there is already a Service Pack on the way. I’ll just repeat here what I’ve been emailing back, I have no idea why you haven’t received your copy yet. The best thing to do is talk to your ESRI sales rep, they’ll know right away where your copy is and might even get it to you faster. Then when it shows up, you too can be excited.

Pictures are better than words because some words are big and hard to understand.

That pictures captures my initial excitement at receiving 9.2 You need a part 2 to show the disappointed reaction after having installed 9.2 and the joys of wading through all the bugs! Glad to hear there’s a SP coming out soon - hope this resolves the bugs….

9.2 EDN has been handed out in the UK.
But you cannot use ArcView Single Licence that comes with EDN as it needs a separate licence.

You can use clunky ArcGIS Explorer if you like via download.

CVan confirm ArcGIS 9.2 will NOT be available until February 2007.

    So Blah Humbug! ESRI

    Happy Christmas Everyone Else.

Anyone else miss the PDF manuals? I think they were included at v9.1, and at v9.0 for sure….

I just saw on the ESRI store that the 17 manuals that used to be included on the install CD for free, cost $470 to get in printed form. Anyone know if you can buy the PDF editions? Do they exist at all?
