Thanks to Joel for the heads up via email!
The first ArcGIS 9.2 service pack, ArcGIS 9.2 SP1 is planned to be available as a download to the public late the week of December 18, 2006. This service pack is to help address issues users have encountered in the ArcGIS 9.2 release. CD media will also be made available by request. The 9.2 SP1 page will be available in the next couple of days and will provide a detailed list of the issues addressed.
Righteous!

James, you continue to crack me up! Where the heck do you get these pictures?
That’s great. I still haven’t even received 9.2. Time to call and begin harassing ESRI again.
Got any insider info about their possible fix of ModelBuilder bugs on 64-bit XP machines? When you type a character, it types it 4 times! Guess I can’t send my scratch output to cccc:\\tttteeeemmmmpppp!
I just got 9.2 yesterday, and now a SP next week. I usually like to wait for the first SP before upgrading. No waiting for me this time around!
ESRI (UK) confirmed today that ArcGIS Desktop 9.2 will not be available until February 2007.
Even though EDN 9.2 is Delivered to UK EDN Users.
Therefore ArcGIS Engine, Runtime etc cannot be used without ArcGIS 9.2 Desktop
Nice One ESRI!
mapperz they are probably Brittishifying the UI, you know renaming tomato tomatoe and all that.
So what should I say?! being part of these starnge group of pepole who need to wait for our local distributor to finish “hebrewnizing” the SW
Doug in all previous ArcGIS’s we had are the same as what you get in the US.
colour is still color favourite is still favorite ArcCatalogue is still ArcCatalog
Still crashes the same too..
I swear that when I was in Canada, colour was colour and favourite was favourite. I know ArcCatalog was ArcCatalog, but I haven’t been using ArcGIS in Canada since 8.01 or something like that.

[...] I’ve been getting a couple of readers panicked that they haven’t received ArcGIS 9.2 yet and there is already a Service Pack on the way. I’ll just repeat here what I’ve been emailing back, I have no idea why you haven’t received your copy yet. The best thing to do is talk to your ESRI sales rep, they’ll know right away where your copy is and might even get it to you faster. Then when it shows up, you too can be excited. [...]
