ArcGIS Explorer – Soon?
Looks like at least the ArcGIS Explorer 9.2 beta build I’m running is dead and you can’t download the version anymore from the beta site. I’m guessing that the release is upon us. Who wants to go to http://resources.esri.com/arcgisexplorer/ and start hitting F5?

You know I was going to demo AGX this morning to my bosses to show them how we can now leverage all the money we’ve spent on AGS and the freaking thing doesn’t work.
Not a word from ESRI via email or on the beta website. Just the application not working.
I actually noticed it on Friday not working.
I can’t wait to see it. I got to play with it a little at the UC and boy was I impressed.
Next generation of garbage to roll out of Redlands. To bad they are a year or two behind Google. Bye Bye ESRI.
[...] A esperar y como dice James Fee a practicar el F5 para actualizar la página y ver que cambios tiene. [...]
Here’s a note that we received with the ArcGIS Server 9.2 install media:
“ArcGIS Explorer is not included in the initial shipment of ArcGIS Server Media Kits. In the coming month, ArcGIS Explorer will be made available for download for all ESRI product users, both Desktop and Server. Following this, ArcGIS Server users will be sent a DVD with the ArcGIS Explorer installation and the media will be included in the Server media kits for future shipments.”
See! They read my comment, realized it was junk, and our fixing it for a future release. Blogging is awesome. James is awesome for developing this site! I have a question. Does 9.2 come free with the release if you already have 9.1, or do you have to pay an upgrade charge? Just wondering. I don’t pay attention to those kind of things.
Anyone know if the AGX SDK or at least the docs will also be available for download?
Most likely the delay has nothing to do with the software. They are just getting ready for the big download and data streaming.
