Remember when I was complaining about cloud coverage over my house? Well the latest update to the Google imagery removes the clouds, but reverts back to an older image. The freeway on this new image is no longer finished. I guess someone thinks that a less relevant image is better than having to deal with clouds. I’m not so sure about that. I want that old image with the clouds and the updated road network back.

There’s a company in Phoeniix called Aerials Express that has more current and cloudless aerial photos of your area. They have a free trial of a product called ViewGL which will let you see the Phoenix area in Google Earth (assuming you use Windows XP and use/install the latest .net).

Both VE and GE are trying to accomodate you… and you are still complaining ;-)) That’s just not right ! ;-)…
p.s. Maybe I can get you a beer and you can write a post that you are going for vacation to Trinidad and Tobago and then both VE&GE will release some imagery.
Currently T&T - caribbean island is only partialy in good resolution in GE and low res. in VE

Frank, actually I use Aerials Express for all my imagery at work so I’m pretty familiar with them, but that doesn’t help me long term at home.

Hm… I just read Frank’s blog and comments about GE Oct 3rd update…
It looks like GE actually updated parts of Trinidad with latest release Oct 3rd relase.
And I guess I’m beeing greedy.. cause I want more … and more … and more …

That is the first time i have seen clouds in a Google satellite image.
