I haven’t seen any mention, but maybe I’m not paying attention in the right places.
Wow, take a look at that sponsor list. I haven’t been to the website in quite some time as I’ve never had plans to go (though give how hot it has been this summer maybe that would have been a good idea). Seems like every important geospatial company seems to be there.

I assume that last paragraph is sarcasm as I don’t see one company listed.

I found this poorly titled (”Entrepreneurs want to put urban data on the Net”) but good article in the local paper.

A good friend of mine is attending this instead of the ESRI UC, but he’s not a blogger. The lack of ESRI is curious - even ESRI Canada is not sponsoring. Timing re the UC is not great, but with the 9.2 delays, you’d think they would want any chance they could get to interact with the community. Maybe their fear of OSGEO is bigger than we suspect?

vancouver is not cold right now! it’s a heat wave that’s breaking records…
(but maybe you’re talking about sitting inside an air conditioned room? hmm.)

It was 118 yesterday here in Chandler, AZ so I’m sure any record for Vancouver is relief for me.

Yes. I am volunteering at GeoWeb all this week and have been part of a few of the workshops already. I’m sitting in a conference room right now on LandXML with Michael Ashbridge of the Google Earth team. We were checking out the rss to georss converter(http://www.geonames.org/rss-to-georss-converter.html), the new hi-res imagery of Candlesmas Island in Google Earth and the new MOI3D beta app (http://moi3d.com/) that some guys from Skethchup have been working on.
Earlier today I attended the Google Maps API workshop and sat between Michael Jones and Bent Hagemark. I’ll be posting later today.
